Leading the Change! believes in pushing the needle towards gender equity in sailing by creating more opportunities for women to be leaders in the sport, specifically in offshore racing. We believe in developing the next generation of offshore racers. We also strive to grow ocean empathy and increase community awareness of the environmental issues facing our oceans.

Dreamed up in 2022 by a group of Magenta Project mentors & mentees who shared a passion for equity and inclusion in sailing, Leading the Change! started as an all-women offshore campaign for the Annapolis to Newport race. Today, we seek to build on our A2N campaign's momentum by expanding our goals to make a lasting change in the sailing community in relation to our missions.

• Field all-women teams for the major offshore races that haven't had one yet. 
• Develop young women to be leaders in inshore and offshore racing. 
• Use our vessels as research platforms to test offshore sustainability best practices.
• Educate sailors on route-specific environmental concerns.
